By developing our HICKORY Blockchain Ecosystem we want to deliver our contribution of making everyday tasks more efficient and therefor less resource intensive.
One of the reasons why we chose a Proof-of-Stake blockchain is, that it's typical energy consumption is much lower than the classical Proof-of-Work approach.
Additionally we will choose to run our own server nodes in data-centers with a low emission footprint.
As far as possible we will also invest into already used hardware to run our nodes, so that we can avoid extra production and further exploitation of our natural resources.
Further on we will encourage our Partners and Validators to base their Provider-Decisions on the idea of minimizing the Energy- and Ecosystem-Impact.
